we have two outreach events on the way, for which we ask you to pray for.
近々開催予定の二つの伝道集会の為にお祈りをお願いします。

Children's Outreach on the 22nd of February
2月22日子ども集会「わくわくタイム」

we will be having a ventriloquist coming to share the gospel with the children.
300 tracts will be distributed at the school on the 21st Friday.
please pray for the preparation, for good attendance, and that the gospel will penetrate the hearts of the listeners.
腹話術師の松浦さんを迎えて、子ども達に福音を伝えていただきます。
21日には、トラクトを300部、近くの小学校の校門前で配ります。
準備のため、参加者が多く与えられるように、福音が聞く人々の心に届くようにとお祈りください。

Outreach Concert on the 23rd of February
2月23日招待礼拝とチャペル弾き語りコンサート

A singer-song-writer will be coming on Sunday to take the morning service and to perform and share his testimony in the afternoon. we have 300 tracts for distribution.
please pray that the church members will be motivated to invite friends, for good attendance and that people might come to know Him.
シンガーソングライターの米田浩司さんを迎えて、午前中は招待礼拝、午後はチャペルコンサートを開催予定です。朝昼と、賛美と証を通して福音を伝えていただきます。
友人を誘うために300枚のチラシを準備しました。
教会員の方々が友人を誘うことが出来るようにお祈りください。
また多くの方が来てくださり、イエス・キリストを知って下さる方が起こされるようにお祈りください。

International Candle Light Service | 国際キャンドルサービス

We thank you for praying for the International Candle Light Service which was held on the 24th of December. Tim's sermon in English, and Ai's translation into Japanese went well, and we were able to share the gospel to those who same. we are thankful that some non-Christians came to the event.
all together there were around 50 present, and we enjoyed fellowship after the meeting. a non-Christian said "It was a cleansing experience". please pray for her, that the gospel might take root. please pray that the gospel preached might have reached those who heard, and that the Lord will continue to work in them, resulting in their salvation.
12月24日に行われた国際キャンドルサービスのためにお祈りくださり、ありがとうございました。ティモシーの英語でのメッセージと愛の通訳も無事に守られ、福音を伝えることができました。当日は50名近くの方々が来てくださり、未信者の方も来てくださいました。礼拝の後には、お茶やケーキが出て、交わりの時を持つこともできました。未信者の方も「心が洗われました」と言ってくださいました。メッセージが聞いてくれた人たちの心に届き、神様が働かれて、未信者の方々が引き続き教会へ足を運び、救いに導かれますよう、どうぞお祈りください。

 

 

 

 

12月の子どもイベント | Childrens Outreach in December

We are in 2014! it is a joy to know the Lord will be with us in this new year. It is also a joy to know we have friends praying for us. Please do continue in your prayers for our work.
2014年がスタートしました！今年も私たちの働きのためにお祈りをいただけたら嬉しいです。今年もよろしくお願いいたします。

Here's some reports on what we have been upto for the past month or so.
昨年度末の働きをご紹介いたします。

Sleight of hand show at Odawara Christian Center
小田原クリスチャンセンターでの手品

On the 5th of December, we went to Odawara Christian Center, which is about 30 minutes drive away. There, we partook in a children and todlers Christmas party. There were around 20 participants, who were mainly non-Christians.  I was given the oppotunity to do some sleight of hand, and share the goepel to them through the Christmas story. The parents and children enjoied it, and listened well. please pray that the gospel they heard might take hold of them.
12月5日に私たちの住む街・平塚から車で30分ほど行ったところの小田原市にあるクリスチャンセンターにて、子どものための集会のクリスマス会に行ってきました。当日は20名近くの未信者の子どもと親が参加してくださいました。手品と福音を伝える機会をいただき、みなさん楽しんで聞いてくださいました。どうぞこの方々の救いのためにお祈りください。

on the 7th of December, we went to the childrens Christmas party held at Shonan Grace Chapel, which is a sister church to us. There were around 80 people present, and the hall was full to it's capacity. There were over 500 tracts destributed outside the local primary scool and many came for their first time. we are thankful the Lord brought them to the event. Tim did some sleight of hand and shared the gospel. Please pray that the children will continue to go to the childrens meetings held there, and come to know Him as Lord and Savior.
12月7日に行われた湘南グレースチャペル（私たちの働く平塚福音協会の姉妹教会）での子どもクリスマス会に行ってきました。当日は80名近くの方が来られ、会場は満杯でした。初めて教会に来られた方も多くいました。配布された500枚以上のチラシが用いられ、多くの方が教会に足を運んでくださり、とても感謝しています。ティモシーはそこで手品し、また福音を伝える機会を与えて頂きました。

on the 14th of December, we had our childrens outreach Christmas party. On the day we had 41 children come, who were mostly non-christian. some of the parents came too.  We had games, the Christian children presented the gospel using the "Wordless Book" and we decorated cakes together. please pray that these children will connect to the regular childrens club and come to know Him as savior. please also pray for the Christian children, that they may grow in Him.
12月14日には私たちの教会での子どもクリスマス会が開かれました。当日は41名の子どもたちが来てくれました。また未信者のお母様も来てくださいました。ゲームをしたり、子供たちが紙芝居を使って福音を伝えたり、ケーキを作ったりして、とても盛り上がりました。引き続き、子供たちが教会につながり、救いへと導かれますようお祈りください。

Prayer points for December

Dear Friends

As we face different tasks, it is always encouraging to know we have friends praying for us.
Here are some points that we ask you to pray for.

Please pray for the teenagers who are coming to the church.
Tei, who is 16, has been coming to church for around 6 years now. He believes in the Lord's existence, and knows the importance to follow Him, yet has not come to a point to commit to the Lord and receive salvation. His Friend Taku, came to church for the first time 2 months ago and has been coming every now and then, ever since. This winter, Tei and his Taku are going to the Hi-b.a. (High School Born Again-ers) bible camp. Please pray that the two of them will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour at the camp.
Please also pray for the other teenagers too. non of them have come through yet.

Please pray for the children.
I went to various Children's special events to do gospel illusion shows. we had many non-Christian and quite a few first-timers at these events. though they are past events I ask you to pray that the seens that were sown might grow and the children might come to faith.
*list of the events.
16th of November : Hiratsuka Seikei church with 10 or so children.
5th of December : Odawara Kangaroo Cafe  with 10- 15 mothers and toddlers
7th of December : Shonan Grace Chapel with 45 children and 10 or so non-christian adults
14th of December : Hiratsuka Evangelical Church with 41 Children.

Please pray for the International Candlelight Service
Every year, on Christmas eve, we have the International Candlelight Service. As Japanese people think of Christmas as being a romantic day, we get quite a few non-Christians attending this service. I will be preaching in English and Ai will be translating for this event. please pray that the Lord will give seeking hearts to the people, and bring them in, and speak to them at the service.
We have also invited some English speakers from near by too. Please pray that they too might come and be saved.

That's right! There is a baby!
We are expecting a baby boy to be born in April. We thank the Lord for this blessing, and ask you to pray for safety, for both mother and child. Please pray that the Lord might bless the child, so that the child will come to know Christ at a young age, and live to follow and glorify His Name through out his life.

Also, due to the expected birth, we have changed our plans slightly, and will no longer be going back to the UK in April. But hope to be with you from mid August until early November. We hope to see you then.

生涯学習教室での手品 | Show in Tokyo

10月に生涯学習「スカイツリーの会」にて、手品をしました。
30名以上のノンクリスチャンの方が集まってくださいました。
また呼んで下さるということでしたので、伝道の機会が引き続き与えられるよう、お祈りください。

In October, we were invited to "The Sky Tree Club" where I did some sleight of hand illusions.
There were over 30 non-Christians gathered, and they enjoyed the show.
They said they will like to invite me again, and have the event in a bigger venue.
Please pray that these oppotunities might be used to share Christ to these people.

またしてもご無沙汰してしまいました。
私たちは元気です。
It's been a while! we have been well.

9月の終わりから10月中旬にかけて、
3組のゲストをお迎えしました。
from the end of September to mid October, we had 3 sets of guests.

1組目はウィンブルドンの教会より、ＨさんとＢさん。
私たちの結婚式では証人となってくださったおふたりです。
タコライスを作ったら、
（タコライスとは挽肉・トマト・レタス・チーズをごはんの上にのせた沖縄料理）
とても喜んで食べてくださいました。
The first, were Mr and Mrs F from Wimbledon Emmanuel.
That's right, it's the couple who were the witnesses at our wedding!
we had Taco-rice (Tacos, but with rice. an Okinawan dish) together.

Ｈさんの素晴らしいギターも聞かせていただき、
とてもすばらしい時間を共に過ごすことができました。
We also enjoyed Mr F's brilliant guitar playing, and enjoyed a good time of fellowship.

2組目はイギリスのシドマスから来られたマケナーご一家です。
お好み焼きを作ったり、箱根で足湯に入ったりしました。
The second group were the Mckenna's from Emmanuel Baptist Church in Sidmouth.
We ate Okonomiyaki and went to a Ashiyu (Foot bath) Cafe in Hakone.

 

 

20年前に宣教師として、日本に4年間住んでいたことのあるマケナーご一家。

久しぶりの日本をとても楽しんでいました。

The Mckenna's were missionaries in Japan over 20 years ago, and they enjoyed their stay.

 

 

そして、最後はティムの姉、グレースが結婚して住んでいるドイツからやってきました。

私たちの家に10日間滞在して、のんびりと交わりの時間を持つことができました。

とても感謝でした！

And finally, my sister Grace who now lives in Germany came over.

she stayed with us for 10 days and we had good family time.

Summer BIble Camp | 夏のバイブルキャンプ

Sorry for the late update!
We have had a very busy summer.
ホームページへの投稿が遅くなり、すみませんでした！
この夏の間は、特に忙しいときを過ごしていました。

In the beginning of August, I (Tim) joined the Matubarako Bible Camp.
We had 2 Junior High students and 4 Primary school students join from our church.
(All together there were 60 primary school children and 30 or so Junior high school students)
the four day camp at the nature filled camp centre was a blessed time, with lots of time to pray for the children.
8月初旬には長野県・松原湖でのバイブルキャンプにティムが参加しました。
私たちの教会からは中学生が2名、小学生4名が参加しました。
3泊4日間、自然に囲まれたキャンプ場で、
神様とともに過ごす素晴らしい時間を与えられて感謝でした。

Tim's duties was that of a "ground worker".
Preparing rooms,cleaning bathrooms, helping in the kitchen and so on.
though I was unable to see how the children were getting on, it was great to know I was part of the Lords work, and it was a time to see the importance of all the unseen work.
I also had much fellowship with the other helpers.
ティムはグラウンドワーカーと言って、
子どもたちから見えないところで会場の設営をしたり、
トイレやお風呂掃除、またキッチンでのお手伝いなどをしました。
裏方として奉仕し、キャンプを支えるという尊い働きをすることができ、
またスタッフたちとの良き交わりも与えられました。

In mid August, we joined the Gotenba Bible Camp.
Tim was the speaker at the 3 day camp and spoke to the children three times.
8月中旬には神奈川県・御殿場でのバイブルキャンプに参加しました。
ティムは子ども集会のメッセンジャーとして、2泊3日間のキャンプ中に、
3回のメッセージを取り次ぎました。

with games, songs and various activities, the 23 children enjoyed themselves, and we heard some feedback about how the children were challenged.
またゲーム大会をしたり、大きな声で賛美したりと、
23名参加した子どもたちにとって、素晴らしい祝福のときとなりました。

Thank you for your prayers during the summer, and please pray for the children that the seeds that were sown might bear fruit in due time.

 

Open Church

We thank you for your prayers for the Open Church which was held last Saturday, on the 27th of July.
The church was open from 1pm until 5pm, with music, dance, illusions, Korean lessons, crafts, games, etc. we also had drinks and Chijimi (Korean pancake) so that the visitors could relax and enjoy the day. 
 
先週の土曜日（7月27日）にはお祈りいただいていたオープンチャーチが開かれました。
午後1時から5時までの4時間、賛美あり、手品あり、ダンスあり、
韓国語教室あり、カード作り教室がありと盛りだくさんのイベントを用意し、
またドリンクとチヂミを用意し、どなたでも食べ、飲みながら、
リラックスしていただけるよう工夫しました。

We had over 30 new comers, and we truly thank the Lord for bringing them.
このイベントで30名を超える方が新しく教会に来てくださいました。
本当に主に感謝です！

Tim and Ai was part of the Followup team, who's job was to welcome, befriend and get talking to the new comers about the Lord. we were given many opportunities to share, with much meaningful conversations. there were some who were deeply counting the cost of fellowship Jesus.

またティムと愛はフォローアップチームとして、
初めて来た方にお声をかけ、お話しさせていただき、
機会を用いて福音を伝える役割をさせていただきましたが、
来た方の方から、神様に対して、キリスト教に対しての質問を受け、
それにお答えする機会をいただきました。
自分の周りにクリスチャンの友達が多く、
とらえられているような気がするとおっしゃる方もおられました。

Please continue to pray for those who came, that the seeds sown might bear fruit.

引き続き、この方々のためにお祈りください。

The others in the followup team seemed very anxious about speaking with the new comers to begin with, but by the time the first hour had passed, they were all taking drinks and biscuits to the new comers and getting in to conversation.

また、フォローアップチームの他の方々も、
初めは大変緊張していましたが、飲み物やクッキーなどを持って行きながら、
新しい方との会話を始めるように努力し、
1時間も2時間も話し込む様子も見られました。

It was heart worming to see other church members taking part in witnessing in such ways.
This was something new, that was not seen last November at the last Open Church.
We are thankful to the Lord for giving each church member a heart for the lost.

教会員の方々が自分たちから新しい方にお声をかけている姿は、
本当に感動的でした。
それは昨年11月のオープンチャーチには見られない姿でした。
教会員ひとりひとりの心に伝道の炎が燃え立たされていることを知ることができ、
本当に主に感謝の気持ちでいっぱいでした。

It is our desire that our church might not become introspective, but always have a vision for the outside, each bearing the gospel to the lost world.
please pray for each church member that they might have an upward and outward looking heart.

今後も私たちの教会が内向きになるのではなく、
外へ出て行って、福音を宣べ伝えていく教会となるように、
教会員ひとりひとりのためにぜひお祈りください。

Eric Liddell of Hiratsuka 平塚のエリックリドル

Last Saturday, we went to see K, a 11 year old boy from our church, who was running at a tournament. K used to love baseball, and was always wanting to play it. But one day last year, his parents told him, he can no longer be in the baseball team.

先週の土曜日には、教会員の小学５年生K君が参加する、
陸上競技大会に応援に行きました。
K君はもともと野球少年でした。
野球を愛し、教会でもすぐにみんなで野球をしたがる男の子でした。
しかし、そんな彼と彼の両親は、野球を辞める決断をしたのです。

The reason was simple. The team required him to join the practise on Sundays and the tournaments were mostly on Sundays too. For a 10 year old boy, this must have seemed a harsh decision.
なぜなら試合や練習が日曜日にあたる日があったからです。小学生の男の子にとって、とても大きな決断であったと思います。

After leaving the Baseball team, he joined the track and field team, as they have no practise on Sundays. And at last years Hiratsuka City championship for the 50m run, he came first place.

彼はその後、日曜日には練習がない陸上のチームに入りました。
そして昨年平塚市の大会で優勝したのです。

This spring, five people from the Logos Hope (OM mission ship) came to our church. One of the five was Beto, who used to be a professional football player in Brazil.

今年の春。
ロゴスホープ号のプレゼンチームが私たちの教会を訪ね、
その中に、元ブラジルのプロサッカー選手であるベトがいました。

K took Tim(who was translating) to Beto, and asked "When you were a professional football player, did you practise on Sundays?"

K君は通訳であったティモシーを連れてベトのところへ行き、
彼にこう質問しました。

「サッカー選手であったとき、日曜日も練習に行っていたの？」

Beto answered, "I didn't practise on Sundays, but attended church. And remember, when you win, you give glory to God. When you loose, you give glory to God" (Tim tried his best not to get too emotional while he translated, as he felt his eyes getting  watery)

ベトはこう答えました。

「練習には行かないで、教会に行っていたよ。
　
　君はこれから試合で勝つときも主の栄光のため、
　負けるときも主の栄光のために走るんだよ。」

ティモシーはふたりのこのやり取りを聞いて、涙ぐんでしまったそうです。

Last Saturday, K was again at the Championships. He had already won the city championship, and was at the Provence championship. If he wins here, he can go to the National championship.
K didn't  win, and his little brother who was there cried for him. But K said he will try again next year.

先週の日曜日。
K君は平塚市での予選を勝ち抜き、全国大会への切符をかけて走りました。
結果は惜しくも敗れてしまいましたが、
彼の敗戦を見て、彼の幼稚園生の弟が涙を流していました。
K君はまた来年の挑戦を約束してくれました。

Eric Liddle didn't run because it was Sunday, even if it was the Olympics.
And K has made the same choice, he gave up baseball for the Lord, and wants to run for the Lord.

たとえオリンピックであっても、
日曜日には試合で走らなかったエリックリドルのように、
K君も神様のために野球を辞め、神様のために走りました。

We will like to ask you to pray for K, that he may run for the glory of the Lord, and may give thanks and praise to the Lord through out his life, whatever result he may face.

K君がこれから先も主の栄光のために走り、
主の栄光のために生きてくれることを祈りたいと思います。

“Tanabata(七夕)” festival 七夕祭り

The “Tanabata(七夕)” festival was held last Friday(5th) to Sunday(7th) in Hiratsuka city,
and 1.7 million people attended it.

“Tanabata” is a Shinto (Japanese religion) festival,
where the people pray for good harvest to the ancestors.
The town will be filled with “Hukinagashi(吹き流し)”
which is believed to ward off evil spirits,
and the “Mikoshi(神輿)”a moving shrine is carried around
so that the gods may go around the festival.
The Tanabata festival of Hiratsuka is
one of the big 3 Tanabata festivals of Japan.

7月5日～7日までの3日間、
私たちの町・平塚では七夕祭りが開かれ、
170万人が、このお祭りを訪れました。

七夕とは日本古来の宗教行事で、
もともとは祖先に今年1年の豊作を祈る祭りとして行われてきたものです。
七夕祭りでは魔よけの意味のある「吹き流し」が大量に飾られ、
神社から離れて神様が祭りを巡るための乗り物「神輿」が街を歩き回ります。
平塚市の七夕祭りは日本3大七夕祭りのひとつとされています。

The rainy season has passed, and we are experiencing hot days, with the temperature over 30C. The Mini Tomato plant we received from a church member is bearing much fruit, and we are enjoying them.

日本は雨季も終わり、連日30度を超える暑さになっています。

教会のメンバーからいただいたミニトマトも赤くなり、
毎日おいしくいただいています。

Hiratsuka is near the sea, with much nature, and is known for producing good crop. But the people, as you can see from the Tanabata festival, do not know the true God. Please do continue in prayer for Hiratsuka, Japan and for us.

平塚は海が近く、自然も多く、気候が温暖なため、
美味しい野菜もたくさん取れることで有名です。
しかし、七夕祭りでも分かる通り、ここに住む人たちは神を知りません。
どうぞ平塚のために、日本のために、引き続き、お祈りください。 
 

Preparing for the Open Church | オープンチャーチにむけて

Last Sunday, we had a bible study for the follow up team, who will be welcoming and befriending new comers at the Open Church, which will be held on the 27th of July.
The goal of the team, is to share Christ in attitude and word, through one to one conversations during the event.

先週の日曜日は、7月27日（土）に教会で行われるイベント、
「オープンチャーチ」に向けて、フォローアップチームの学びを行いました。
フォローアップチームとは、教会に初めて訪れた方をお迎えし、
その方々が教会で居心地良く過ごしていただけるようフォローし、
そして、機会が訪れたらその方々へ福音を伝える伝道チームです。

8 people came to the study, which Tim lead.
The people were eager to learn about personal evangelism, not just for the Open Church, but with hopes to use the information in their everyday lives.

今回ティムがリードした学びには、8名の方が参加してくれました。
みなさん、オープンチャーチだけではなく、
家族や友人にも福音を伝えたいと集まってくださり、
とても有意義で、すばらしい学びの時となりました。

We believe it is of uttermost importance, that each church member will not be content in just receiving the grace found in the Gospel, but that they need to desire and be equipped to share this glorious gospel to those around them. Without this, there is little hope for the whole nation of Japan to here of Jesus and His atonement.Please pray that this heart for the lost might grow in the hearts of the believers.

自分たちが恵みにあずかるばかりでなく、
このすばらしい福音をひとりでも多くの方にシェアしたいと、
教会員ひとりひとりが願うことは、
この日本の地に福音が宣べ伝えられるために必要不可欠です。
ぜひ私たちの教会員ひとりひとりのためにお祈りください。

Ai joined in the practise for the "Angels" who will be singing at the Open Church.
the "Angels" is a quire team, consisting of the ladies of the church.
They will not only sing, but there will be various instruments and a song to be sung with the children too. the practise time is also a good time of fellowship, and the team are enjoying the preparation.

また、愛はオープンチャーチで賛美するチーム
「エンジェルズ」の練習に参加しました。
「エンジェルズ」は教会の女性で構成されている賛美チームです。
歌だけでなく、ピアノ、フルート、オーボエも披露され、
また子供たちと一緒に歌う賛美も準備されています。
練習も良い交わりの時となり、とても楽しく準備しています。

The Preparation for the Open Church is going smoothly.
please do pray for continual guidance, and for blessings in each team, and that the event might be used for His glory to be revealed in this land of Hiratsuka.

オープンチャーチへの準備が着々と進んでいます。
どうぞお祈りください。

Invitation Sunday 招待礼拝

毎月第4週の日曜日は招待礼拝です。
招待礼拝とは、新しく教会に来られる未信者の方々にとって、
居心地が良い教会と、分かりやすい礼拝を心がけて行われているものです。
Every forth Sunday of the month, we have the Invitation Worship.
This is where the members are encouraged to bring friends to the service, and there is a presentation of the gospel with in the sermon.

6月23日日曜日には、新しく2名の方が教会に来てくださいました。
この方々が教会につながるようにお祈りしたいと思います。

On the 23rd of June, there were two new people. Please pray that these people will return to the church again, and come to know Christ as their personal Saviour.

礼拝後の報告では、ティモシーも前に立って、
7月27日（土）に行われるイベント「オープンチャーチ」に向けて、
みなさんに協力とお祈りのお願いをしました。
After the service, Tim went forward to talk about the Open Church, which is to be held on the 27th of July, where he asked for prayer and help for the event.

 

 

昨年11月のオープンチャーチよりも、教会員全体が一体となり、

伝道しようという情熱が燃え立たされているように感じます。

Compared to last year, we feel there is more unity and passion for the Open Church this year.

またティモシーはフォローアップチームのリーダーとなり、

新しく教会に来られた方々を歓迎し、

その方々に福音を伝えるためチームを結成し、

そのチームのための学びのときを、今週と来週の日曜日に持つ予定です。

Tim is leading the followup team. The team will be welcoming new comers, and share the gospel to them on a one to one basis. Tim is planning two training sessions for the team.

 

フォローアップチームに参加する人だけでなく、

個人伝道に興味がある方も参加してくださいと教会全体に呼びかけたところ、

すでに多くの方々が参加を表明してくださっています。

Not only the follow up team, but any who are interested  in personal evangelism has been invited to the training sessions. There have been a few who will be joining the sessions.

ぜひ教会員ひとりひとりが伝道への重荷と情熱を持つように、

また学びのときも祝福されますようお祈りください。

Please pray that passion to share Christ to the lost might rise within the church members.

And please pray that the training sessions might be meaningful times. 

礼拝後、高校生＆青年会が終わった後には、

ギターを学びたい青年のふたりに、ティモシーがギターを教えました。

After the Sunday service and the Youth and young adults meeting, Tim taught the guitar to two youngsters.

 

ふたりとも真剣にギターを学んでいますが、

学んでいる理由は、これからいつでもどこででも、

賛美をリードできるようになるためです。

The two are working hard to learn the guitar. The reason for this, is because they want to be able to lead the youth worship times.

神様のためにギターを学びたいという情熱はとても嬉しいものです。

ぜひこのふたりのためにもお祈りください！

We are thankful that they are wanting to learn the guitar to use for the Lord. Please pray that they might continue to grow spiritually and in their guitar technique.

 

 

Introducing our church 私たちの教会の紹介

Today, we will like to introduce to you, Hiratsuka Evangelical Church,
the church where we are currently serving.
One hour by train from Tokyo, the capital on Japan,
and you will be at Hiratsuka station.
Another 10 minutes walk and you will find Hiratsuka Evangelical Church.

今日は私たちが遣わされている平塚福音キリスト教会の様子をご紹介します。日本の首都である東京から電車で約1時間の平塚駅より徒歩10分のところに、平塚福音キリスト教会は建っています。

The main entrance

玄関を入ると、２階にあがる階段があります。

Through the main entrance, and up the stairs. 

階段横はご案内スペース。色々なチラシが貼ってあります。

The staircase is full of notices.

 

　      　これは婦人会の方たちが震災のあった、
　      　東北を支援するために作っている手作りカード。
　      　売り上げを東北に送るとともに、直接現地に行き、
　　      被災された方々にカード作りを教えています。
　　      今日（６月２０日）も、婦人会の１０名の方々が
           １泊２日で東北に赴いています。

　　 Here are some cards that are made by people in the Tohoku,
     the disaster struck area.
     The profit from the cards are sent to the people there,
     and some of the ladies from our church go to teach
     how to make these cards every now and then.
     There are currently (20th June) 10 ladies from our church there,
     staying for a night and teaching card making.

　　　　　 　このカードは凝った作りとなっていて、大変人気があります。

　　　　　 　教会でも1枚350円で販売されています。

              These cards are very popular and interesting.
              They are sold for 350 yen a peace. (aprx. 2.50 pounds)


 
                   階段を上ると礼拝堂があります。
                   毎週約130名が集まり、ともに主を礼拝しています。                

                  Up the stairs and you will be in the main hall.

 Every week we have around 130 people come together for worship.
 

                            礼拝堂の後ろには母子室があります。

                            At the back of the hall,
                            is the mothers and babies room.

　　　　　            ここから小さな子どもたちや、
                       子どものお母さんたちは礼拝をしています。

                       Babies, Young children and their parents
                       take part in the worship service from here.

                          子ども用の絵本やおもちゃもたくさん用意されています。

                      There are many books and toys for the children.

 

 

                         礼拝堂には聖書・讃美歌が置かれています。

                         At the back of the hall,
                         there are bibles and hymnals for people to use.
 

 
                         こちらは目の不自由な方用の点字の聖書です。
                            
                         Here are bibles and hymnals for the blind.

                              礼拝堂を下っていくと、

                              Back down the stair case...

                      
                       応接間があります。
                       高校生＆青年会はいつもここで持たれています。
                       Here is a room near the entrance,
                       where the high school students and young adults meet.
 

応接間を通り過ぎて奥へ進むと、

Through the corridor,

 

 

                           左側には和室があります。
                           子どもたちのクラスはここで持たれています。

There is another room, which is used for Sunday school.

 

                                右側にはキッチンがあります。

                                And right next to it, is the kitchen

 

　　　　　　　　毎週日曜日には婦人会の方々がカレーライスなど、
　　　　　　　　美味しい昼食を作ってくださいます。
　　　　　　　　礼拝後は、ご飯を食べながら交わりを持っています。

                  Every Sunday, the ladies make lunch,
                  like curry and various other things.
                  After the Sunday worship,
                  we have fellowship while having lunch.
